Commercial Filming Application

    PRIMARY CONTACT

    The Primary Contact must be the Approval Account Holder. Notifications will be sent to the account's email address on file.  

    The Office of Special Events (OSE) will communicate directly with the persons named on the application only unless the applicant provides additional contacts in writing.

    The primary contact is the individual who oversees all aspects of the production planning and details of the production’s execution. The primary contact is the primary contact for City representatives during the permitting process. The email address entered as the primary contact will be the email receiving all email notifications generated relating to the application.

    PUBLIC INFORMATION / ONSITE CONTACT

    This is the individual who is the primary point of contact during the production activity. The phone number for the onsite contact will be listed on the Commercial Filming Permit so that any City of Sanger representatives can make contact as needed. The onsite contact must be available during load in through load out of the production activity. - this contact must be able to meet police officers or code enforcement officers at the site of the film activity within one hour of being contacted by a police officer or code enforcement officer by telephone or email. This contact information will be distributed to the public when inquiries are made to the Office of Special Events. This contact should be available leading up to the production activity and film day. This contact will be used on traffic advisories and notifications.

  7. Please include a summary of your filming activities as if you’re giving a short commentary on the action as it happens. Visualizing each scene will offer a clear overview of the components involved. Describe the action of your talent and include the type of production equipment being used.

  20. Insurance

    An applicant for a permit to conduct commercial filming in the City of Sanger shall procure and keep in full force and effect for the duration of the filming insurance written by an insurance company approved by the State of Texas and acceptable to the City and issued in the standard form approved by the Texas Department of Insurance. All provisions of each policy must be acceptable to the City. A certificate of insurance must be delivered to the Office of Special Events at least seven business days before the commercial filming activity begins. A commercial filming permit will not be issued until the insurance requirements have been verified by the City.

    1. The producer shall submit a certificate of insurance, naming the City of Sanger as an additional insured, in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 general liability, including bodily injury and property damage with a $5,000,000.00 umbrella; and automobile liability (if applicable) in an amount not less than $1,000,000.00 including bodily injury and property damage.

    2. The applicant agrees to pay in full, promptly upon receipt of an invoice, the costs of repair for any and all damage to public or private property resulting from or in connection with the production and to restore the property to its original condition prior to the production or to better than original condition.

    3. The coverage provisions of each policy must provide coverage for any loss or damage that may arise to any person or property by reason of the conduct of the activity by the applicant. The applicant/permit holder is responsible for theft, loss, or damages to City-owned property that result from filming.

    4. By submitting this application, the producer agrees to hold the City harmless from any claim that may arise from their use of designated public property, right-of-way, or equipment in conjunction with the permitted use:

    I certify that I represent the firm which will be performing the filming/taping at the locations specified on the attached permit application. I further certify that I and my firm will perform in accordance with the directions and specifications of The City of Sanger, TX and that I and my firm will indemnify and hold harmless The City of Sanger, TX for and from any loss, damage, expense, claims and costs of every nature and kind arising out of or in connection with the filming/taping pursuant to this permit.

    I further certify that the information provided on this Application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and that I hold the authority to sign this and other contracts and agreements with the City of Sanger on behalf of the firm.

    6. If a commercial filming activity includes aircrafts, aircraft liability insurance covering owned, hired, and non-owned aircraft with a minimum limit of $5,000,000 per occurrence.

    7. If any fireworks, pyrotechnics, explosives, or other special effects are utilized as part of the commercial filming activity, then separate additional general liability insurance must be provided by the applicant or pyrotechnic provider in an amount of not less than $3,000,000 for each claim, with a $3,000,000 annual aggregate.

  21. Application Fee

    An application processing fee of $25.00 should accompany each application for filming in the City.

  22. Fee Schedule

    Depending upon the extent of the use of City property, the applicant agrees to reimburse the City for inconveniences when using public property. Following is the rate schedule:
