Driving Safety Course

Must make a request in person or by mail before completing the course. MUST pay a fee ranging from $144-$169 (contact the court to determine your fee), and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and valid proof of insurance. **Cannot hold a commercial driver's license**

Deferred Disposition

Must make a request in person or by mail. MUST pay a deferred fee (contact the court to determine your deferred fee). If you are under the age of 25, you will be required to complete a driver safety course during the deferral period. **Cannot hold a commercial driver's license**

Fail to Register Dog / Cat

You may have this charge dismissed by registering your pet with the Sanger Police Department and providing proof to the court. For more information on registering your pet, please contact the Sanger Police Department at 940-458-7444.

Extension to Pay

Must make the request in person or by mail. MUST pay court cost upfront (contact the court to determine your court cost).

Court Appearances

The law requires you to appear in court. If you were issued a citation, your appearance date is twenty (20) business days from the issue date of the citation. You or your attorney may appear in person in open court, by mail, or you may deliver your plea in person to the court. (Juveniles have a separate set of rules for their appearances. Please read the specific section on juveniles in the menu on the left).

Options

You may plea Not Guilty, Guilty, or No Contest. In order to plead not guilty you must appear at the clerk's office within twenty (20) business days from the issue date of the citation to obtain a court date for a pre-trial hearing.
