Chief Tyson Cheek has served as a law enforcement professional whose career has spanned over three decades. His journey in law enforcement started in the Fort Worth Police Department, beginning at the police academy in October of 1991 and successfully graduating in March of 1992. Chief Cheek served just under 32 years in the FWPD with dedication and commitment.

Chief Cheek assumed the interim position as Chief of Police in Sanger in June 2023 and became the full-time chief in October 2023. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. Additionally, he completed his Master's in Public Administration from Tarleton State University in August 2023.

 A continuous pursuit of learning, education, and leadership has marked Chief Cheek's professional journey. He is known for his dedication to fostering improvement within the law enforcement community and his commitment to instilling a sense of responsibility among police officers.

 As Chief of Police in Sanger, Chief Cheek looks forward to collaborating with citizens, City leaders, and business stakeholders. His vision is centered on engaging in a cooperative effort to effect positive changes that will benefit the entire community.
