City of Sanger HR Director Nominated for Denton Record Chronicle 40 Under 40
The City of Sanger is proud to announce that Jeriana Hemb, Director of Human Resources and Special Projects, has been nominated for the Denton Record Chronicle’s 40 Under 40, an annual recognition honoring young professionals who are shaping the future of North Texas.
Jeriana has served the City of Sanger since 2016 and has played a vital role in the organization’s growth and stability over the past several years. In addition to her role overseeing human resources, she has stepped into key leadership positions, including Interim City Manager and City Secretary, when called upon. She currently leads a high-performing team responsible for recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits administration, risk management, and employee relations.
With more than 15 years of experience across both the public and private sectors in human resources, Jeriana brings a broad and thoughtful perspective to municipal operations. Her leadership and dedication have been recognized statewide. In 2018, she received the Rising Star of Texas Award from the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association and was among the first 30 professionals in Texas to earn the TMHRA Certified Professional designation. She was also named a Texas Municipal League Leadership Fellow in 2023. She is an active member of North Texas SHRM, where she previously served on the board, and remains engaged in advancing human resources practices across the region and the state.
Jeriana is actively involved in professional organizations that advance human resources practices across the state, including the North Texas SHRM, and she serves on the TMHRA Board as Secretary and has held leadership roles for more than four years. Known for her servant heart and commitment to continuous improvement, she finds purpose in building strong teams and serving the community she calls home.
The Denton Record Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 is determined by community voting, which is open now through February 26. Residents are encouraged to support Jeriana and the City of Sanger by voting.
