This is just a friendly reminder about bulk trash pick up due to the recent storm events.
Bulk pick up is either Thursday or Friday of each week depending on the customers trash days, and will be picked up provided the customer has
(A) items placed at the curbside no later than 7a.m. on the scheduled collection day,
(B) are reasonably contained, and
(C) do not exceed four (4) cubic yards in total volume, or have individual items exceeding 100 pounds in weight.
Waste Connections shall only be responsible for collecting, hauling, and recycling or disposing of Bulk Items from Residential units that have complied with these guidelines.
Bulk pick up items can be:
refrigerators (with refrigerants removed and tagged by a professional technician), stoves, washing machines, water tanks, chairs, couches, bath tubs, heaters, hot water heaters, sinks, washers, dryers,. and other similar household items.
Gas cans, oil containers, weed eaters, lawn mowers, etc. will also be picked up ONLY IF they are completely drained of all fluids and empty. Any items containing refrigerants will not be collected by Waste Connections, unless it has been certified in writing and tagged by a professional technician that all refrigerants have been removed.
Brush: Waste Connections will pick up a reasonable amount of brush IF it is bundled in 4ft sections and does not exceed 40 pounds. These bundles will need to be placed at the curb along with your trash. If it is not bundled, or if the bundle is too heavy Waste Connections will not pick it up. This service will only be for residential customers.
If you are a contractor, or retained a landscape/lawncare/tree trimming service, the contractor is responsible for hauling those items off the property.
The City of Sanger and Waste Connections are not responsible and will not haul off Contractors work.
Waste Connections WILL NOT pick up Construction an Demolition Waste which includes, but not limited to cartons, sheetrock, concrete, excelsior, gypsum board, metal, paper, plastic, rubber, and wood products such as 2x4’s etc.
If you have a metal shed that has blown down, or been dismantled Waste Connections will not pick that up as bulk items.
You will need to contact Waste Connections to negotiate an agreement on an individual basis regarding the collection, hauling, or disposal of Construction & Demolition Waste at 1-800-909-9061.
Waste Connections WILL NOT collect, haul, or dispose of any “Excluded Waste” which is hazardous waste, deceased animals, auto parts or used tires, paint or chemicals from any residential/commercial unit.
